Telephony

The total number of telephony lines depends on the installed TAPI compatible telephony hardware (analog or digital). CTMaker telephony services can handle the following functions: Accept Calls, connecting two phone lines, dial a string on an already opened line, showing the called phone number, showing the caller ID, showing the connection-time, initiating an outbound call, shutting down lines, waiting until calls are connected. Amongst other examples you can perform such tasks as:a telephone answering system, call routing, automated call centers and information systems with touch-tone navigation, phone services.

Normal communication over telephony happens with sounds. With the WAVE-functions you can record sounds via phone or microphone and then play them back. This enables you to create telephony applications in any language.
